Hi everyone,
just uploaded a new update on Github.
Feel free to download it and test it out. And please report any bugs if you find any.
Also if you have any ideas that might make grimsi-geysir even better and more useful.

Version 1.4.0
- A lot of fixes and new features
— New options for the menu (default:top, Left, Right)
— Now you can control most colors
— Moved folders around and cleared up some code

Hello,

I tried the new Theme instantly. I like the new features to change the color.

I use the Theme in a black/dark grey look, so it would be fine if the headlines could also be changed from blue to grey.

When I klick on a picture in the content section opens a white site with the picture details. It would be nice if I could change it, so that it will open the lightbox directly.

Thanks for your work

Glad you like it :-) I am working on more options to change both color and maybe layout options. I will also add the option to link thumbnail photos to lightbox directly. I wanted to release this update since there was quite a lot of changes from the previous version. This is just a start, a lot to be done still. This is a work in progress :-)

While I am trying to customize the look I could not find out how to change the background color of the Albums-Section on Frontpage. Also the timeline cant be customized.

Is there a workaround for that?

Hi Henry,
for the time being you can remove the class bg-faded in both home.lens and timeline.lens
This will be fixed in next update. Then there will be a option to change the color on home.lens and removed in timeline.lens

Sorry for the late reply. I don't have access too much at the moment, am on holiday with the family :-) Happy Easter to you all

*But I'll answer if I can, of course :-)

regards,

Version 1.5.0

- A lot of fixes and new features
- Now you can control even more colors in admin
- Now I've added a few ready made styles [Geysir, White and Dark]
- Frontpage has a full page background slideshow. *Can change in settings.

*Remember to clear "system cache"
/admin/#/settings/system
You might have to also do the following:
Reset > Reset theme to default settings (/admin/#/site/draft/theme/url:/)

If you experience any bugs please let me know. I have only tested myself, it depends what server you have and also some settings on server.

So thank you for help.

So just now, i am learning about koken and choosing a pretty functionnal template i can modify and learn with it how to built one.The design of yours is what i 'd like for my website and it seems to be concerned by photograph and text together and with many interresting functions. I am more a writer than a photographer. But i love photographs ans i d like to write about them and comments too.

To install it, i took the zip on your github account, and i upload it on the storage/template koken's folder in my inmotionhostings account. After, i extract it with my cpanel website ftp client.
Then i try to select it on Koken cms.

Here is the screen of the system

Thank you form your help.

The location should be /storage/themes/grimsi-geysir/
Also check if the theme files are listed all under that and not like this /storage/themes/grimsi-geysir/grimsi-geysir
Also if you only want to use essays you can make essays.lens the default template then that would be the main start page

Also one other thing you can try, choose another theme and mark that to use and then go back and try and active again, but before that click clear system cache.

Hi,

in version 1.4.0 the slideshow on frontpage was in full screen size. In 1.5.0 the content section begins on top of the frontpage. Can I change that to to old behavior? Ifound the old version more clean.

THX
